Claire and Ben’s Irish Festival Inspired Wedding in Meath

Claire and Ben’s wedding was the ultimate Irish festival inspired wedding. They had plenty of handmade touches, decorations sourced from all over the world, and contributions from family and friends. It truly was a dream of a day.

Claire and Ben chose the stunning Rock Farm Slane located in Meath as the setting for their Irish festival inspired wedding. This venue had a variety of on-site accommodations, including yurts and rolling hills. It was perfect for their festival theme.

When I arrived at Rock Farm, I joined Ben beside the ceremony marquee for a few drinks with his groomsmen before the day kicked off. After that, I travelled down to the entrance of Rock Farm to the bride’s cottage to document all of the excitement as everyone got ready.

Once all of the guests had arrived and had found their seats under the shelter of the marquee, Claire and her bridesmaids made their way across the hill to meet Ben at the top of the aisle. The ceremony was filled with such considerate touches and contributions from family and friends. Both Claire’s mother and Ben’s mother selected flowers from their own gardens and placed in a vase. Then Claire and Ben crafted their own bouquet out of these flowers during their ceremony. It was the sweetest representation of their two families joining together.

Later, at the conclusion of the celebratory ceremony, the guests gathered around the bar for the bride and groom’s speeches. These were some of the funniest and heartfelt speeches which didn’t fail to make everyone laugh!

As the light faded across the hills, we explored the grounds of Rock Farm to get some gorgeous sunset portraits. It was lovely to see the pure joy on Claire and Ben’s faces after navigating a tough year of planning a wedding during Covid. It had all come to fruition and played out without a hitch!

The Party

After their portrait session, Claire and Ben entered the colourfully decorated barn to start the rest of the speeches. Once the speeches and dinner were over, it was time to hit the dance floor. All of their guests filled the dance floor within seconds of the first song. I’ve never seen such a packed dance floor with every single guest giving it their all. There were conga lines, dance offs and even some limbo.

This was such a gorgeous wedding that truly represented Claire and Ben’s personalities.
It was an absolute joy to be a part of!
