Aquila & David have an amazing love story that I was able to be a part of during their romantic Dublin City Engagement Session. During our time together, I learned about how they met while studying medicine in Dublin city. They instantly connected and they moved back together to Toronto to continue their practice.
At the start of 2020, David decided to propose. It wasn’t going to be that simple though! Aquila wanted a moissanite stone instead of the traditional diamond, so David began the hunt and had the stone flown in from the United States. Unfortunately, the stone got stuck at the border for months. This proposal was time sensitive as Aquila was due to move to Calgary for her placement. Finally, the stone arrived, and David was able to get down on one knee in their favourite spot in the park.
When they began to plan their engagement session, they wanted to explore some popular spots around Dublin that played a role in their relationship. We decided to start at the gorgeous Café en Seine, where they celebrated their second date.
Aquila made sure to grab the prettiest cocktail while David ordered a Guinness. They took in the amazing interior and buzzing atmosphere where their relationship began.
From there, we wandered around the city, stopping off for portraits at St. Ann’s Church and St. Stephen’s Green. Then we entered the quiet Iveagh Gardens which is the ideal pit-stop for any trip to Dublin.
We strolled onto Hatch Street to find the perfect Georgian door as the ultimate Dublin city backdrop for the final portrait.
We had the best time strolling around Dublin taking in all the breathtaking sites during their engagement session. I was so honoured to be included in their story!
