Claire and Ben’s wedding was the ultimate festival-inspired wedding, with plenty of handmade touches, decorations sourced from all over the world and contributions from family and friends, it was a dream of a day. Claire and Ben chose the stunning Rock Farm located in Slane, Meath as the setting for their wedding and with its variety of on-site accommodations including yurts and rolling hills, it was perfect for their festival theme.Â
I joined Ben beside the ceremony marquee for a few drinks with his groomsmen before the day kicked off. I then travelled down to the entrance of Rock Farm to the bride’s cottage to document all of the excitement as everyone got ready.
Once all of the guests had arrived and had found their seats under the shelter of the marquee, Claire and her bridesmaids made their way across the hill to meet Ben at the top of the aisle. The ceremony was filled with such considerate touches and contributions from family and friends. The most notable being, the flowers selected from the mother of the bride and mother of the groom’s gardens which they gave to the couple to craft their own bouquet, marking the merging of the two families.Â
From there everyone enjoyed a drink and found a spot around the bar for the bride and groom’s speeches which didn’t fail to make everyone laugh!
As the light faded across the hills, we explored the grounds of Rock Farm to get some gorgeous sunset portraits. It was lovely to see the pure joy on Claire and Ben’s faces after navigating a tough year of dodging Covid and planning a wedding, it had all come to fruition and played out without a hitch!Â
After their portraits, Claire and Ben entered the barn which was bursting with colour, to start the rest of the speeches. Once the speeches and dinner were over, it was time to hit the dance floor and it was filled within seconds of the first song ending. I’ve never seen such a packed dance floor with every single guest giving it their all. There were conga lines, dance offs and even some limbo.Â
This was such a gorgeous wedding that truly represented Claire and Ben’s personalities and it was an absolute joy to be a part of.Â
